Where to begin? There were so many message on this first leg of the journey that I truly don’t know where to begin. 1. I saw and crossed SEVERAL bridges to get to this destination. 2. I met a man who had a gambling problem but had some serious wisdom! He said, “Never take anything for granted.” 3. The temperature fluctuated from 77 degrees to 90 degrees to 73 degrees within a matter of hours because a storm passed through. 4. The moon was out and guided my journey for the first three hours. 5. I saw a driver get pulled over by a cop ONLY after driving for three minutes not knowing that the lights were for them. 6. I found a “foot” shape in my Goldfish snacks. 7. I met a man who had so much knowledge and love that it was hard to end the conversation. One of his nuggets of knowledge was, “No matter what, it’s okay.” With all of these messages, I don’t know where I want to begin. Hmmm….. More to come. Stay tuned… Lesson from Day 1All the lessons were valuable but I will focus on #1 - “…SEVERAL bridges.” Bridges represent a connection from one place to another. A bridge can present in the human form or even in the form of an experience. For me, it will be a blending of both. This cross-country, spiritual sojourn is about being open to the messages of the Universe and to share those messages with others along my way. I do not know what will come from each day, but I willingly empty myself so that my spirit will receive it and that I will know it when it occurs. Emptying isn’t easy. It’s easy to pour water out of a bottle. It is easy to remove contents from a jar. But, have you ever tried to empty your mind of expectations?
Often times, we get stuck in our head and try to force “something” to come from an experience. This controlling behavior leaves little to no room for the Universe to work in the spaces that need the guidance. When we empty ourselves and relinquish control, we are opening ourselves to a divine experience that was curated just for us at just the right moment. As you continue to follow my story and start reflecting on your own, I invite you to practice the art of emptying. It might be scary at first but you got this! I believe in you! Together, WE got this! Ase.
