If you are reading this blog, you either picked up the "Journey Begins" intention stone or you are interested in following my cross-country, spiritual sojourn. Either way, welcome! For the one soul who picked up this stone in Tallahassee, I thank you for holding my intentions. I thank you for trusting your intuition and taking a chance to pick up this stone. I am grateful for you taking the extra step to log in and be part of this spiritual adventure. I hope you are ready. WE are doing this and others are here to bear witness. Until next time... Be well. Be light. Be Love. Be Light! ~Chris Saturday night (June 26, 2021)I couldn't sleep on Saturday night.
Around 5:00pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021, I started packing. In this space it became all too real that in less than 48 hours I was going to start a cross-country, spiritual sojourn. This grand adventure is set to include 13 different states over a 49-day period. I am going to be away from my husband, of 16 years, for nearly seven weeks. I am going to be completely alone for seven of those 49 days. The realness settled in my back and I had to stop packing. Around 7:30pm, my husband called from upstairs to let me know that dinner was ready. He made chicken enchiladas, cilantro lime rice, and refried beans. This was going to be my last homemade meal, at home, from the man who makes me feel at home in all spaces. I was in my feels. Around 9:30pm, we traveled downstairs to "try" to watch television. I say "try" because I always fall asleep on movies that start after 9pm. But, that's just part of our relationship and it works for us. True to form, I fell asleep and he continued to cuddle with me until I was in a deep slumber. That deep slumber didn't last very long. Less than four hours later, I was up. I mean wide awake up! I couldn't sleep so I took a long, hot shower, lovingly placed peppermint lotion all over my body, wrapped up in a soft scarf, and proceeded to my office/sanctuary to complete my stones. This cycle lasted until 3:07am. During the wee-hours of the morning, I let the dogs out (something I rarely do for fear of their possible barking) and was drawn to the light of the moon. I stepped onto the porch, walked up the ramp, and followed her shine. She was full. She was bright. She was gorgeous. Most importantly, she was inviting. In her space, I was mesmerized by her beauty and true illumination. She lit up everything around her and even made the stars appear brighter. She occupied her little corner of the sky but the entire sky knew she was there. She didn't brag or boast; she just WAS. And her illumination invited me into her space. As I stood in appreciation, I was reminded that people have been to her. People walked on her surface. I was also reminded that someone, at one time, thought the idea of walking on the moon was crazy. Well, it was only "crazy" until someone actually did it. I loooooove that thought. Soul of Love & Light, please remember that your journey is uniquely yours. That you, although you don't need it, have my permission to be EXACTLY who you are in this moment. If /when your "moment" changes, feel free to follow suit. Change! I welcome you on my journey of eco-spirituality and awakening. Your presence allows me to honor my divine assignment which is to create and hold spaces for self-restoration and healing. Thank you!! When you tune in tomorrow, I will share my intentions for this cross-country, spiritual sojourn and welcome you to share your thoughts along the way. Remember: "It's only considered a "crazy" idea until someone actually does it." Be the one!
